BlindSight Journey
To Listen
To Observe
To Open our Senses
Slowness
Dance
Inner Sound
To Connect
During a BlindSight session we'll create a safe space.
To observe everything that is. That comes. Accepting it. By closing the eyes.
All group have their eyes closed, blindfolded. From beggining to the end.
I keep the eyes open to hold the space, guide de journey through my words, through sound, through music.
A BlindSight session can go from 2h to 8h, according to the context and situation.
It's a journey where we are invited to listen, to move, to walk, to dance, to sense.
Observe each corner of our body, from bones to skin, to observe our energetic body, alone and in contact with others, to observe the relationship to my self, to others.
to touch. to be touched.
to observe the subtle touch.
to listen to the sounds.
to the music.
to each others.
to dance
to be danced
It's not a space for sexual exploration
It's not a transe dance session
It's not a space where is allowed to invade the other's space / body / intimacy
It may be a space where sensuality appears, as sensuality is present in whatever dance or body expression
It may open transic doors
It may empower our capacity to understand and express our boundaries
For those who are privileged to have it, the sense of sight is the most used for communication, receiving the stimuli that allow us to connect everyday with the world that surrounds us. However, our perception of reality is a rather complex ability, making us sometimes forget the usage of all the “receiver and transmitter antennas” we possess in our bodies and spirits, at the fast pace we move in our daily lives.
Therefore, I propose a meeting of people interested in letting themselves be guided through a one’s day journey, with their eyes closed, working on their sensitive perception through the body, the movement, and the ability of letting yourself be.
The expression “letting yourself be guided” speaks about the essence of this work as an individual and an intimate research.
Each person has a different approach and reaction towards being with their eyes closed for an entire day, experiencing trough the body and the movement, their inner and outer world.
